I have been practising pilates for 23 years and teaching mat based classes for over 12 years in and around Hertford.
I came to pilates with a debilitating spinal condition and scoliosis. My love of exercise, health and wellbeing led the way for me to train in Pilates.
My ethos is "Safe, Fun and Effective", with a strong understanding of what my clients' needs are. I specialise in pregnancy&postnatal, orthopeadic conditions, rehabilitation, seniors and children.
I believe that anyone can do Pilates, whatever age, or ability. The exercises are so adaptable that I will cater for any individual, especially as my class sizes are small. My classes have a sense of community, bringing people together on their Pilates journey to Wellness.
What is not to love about the Reformer!
This is where Pilates began nearly 100 years ago. Initially designed to rehabilitate the wounded.
My passion and zest for all things Pilates led me to the Reformer which I've been teaching for over 7 years. My new Hertford based studio has opened its doors to 1-1 and 2-1 sessions. My individual attention will enable you to gain the maximum benefit from this practise. Using the Reformer's resistance and pulley system to give a full-body workout, which in turn improves power, strength, flexibility and efficiency.
We hear the word 'Wellness' so often these days. But what is it and what does is actually mean to you?
By practising healthy habits such as exercise on a daily basis, will help us to achieve better physical and mental outcomes.
I'm sure we've all had off days, but sometimes these days turn into weeks and months.
Having experienced anxiety and depression, I know how exercise and especially Pilates helps me to rebalance my mind and body. The attention to the deep breathing and how it brings about calmness in the body, the connection of the mind to the body through focusing on the movements, creates a sense of Wellbeing.
We aim to Thrive not Survive!
